Certified Wildlife Control Professional
Those who hold the title of Certified Wildlife Control Professional have demonstrated a wealth of both “hands-on” field experience and an exposure to a variety of industry related training programs. Candidates for certification must be able to establish no less than three years of professional practice, along with a minimum of 300 credit hours of board approved training courses and seminars.

Employee Bio’s:
Matt Kosakowski co-founded Wildlife Control Specialists with his father, Joe, in 2007. With more than two decades of experience in animal management and wildlife control, Matt has built a reputation for solving some of the most challenging wildlife issues for homeowners across the region.
Over the course of his career, Matt has worked with a wide range of animal species and property types, giving him the expertise to diagnose problems quickly and develop effective, long-term solutions. What he enjoys most about his work is the investigative aspect—identifying how an animal entered a home, safely and humanely removing it, and then addressing the underlying vulnerabilities to ensure the problem does not recur.
Matt is a strong advocate for the humane treatment of wildlife and believes that successful wildlife management requires balancing the needs of homeowners with respect for the animals involved. His practical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and commitment to ethical practices have made him a trusted resource for countless families seeking wildlife solutions.
Matt lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
Over the course of his career, Joe has run a number of successful medium sized private companies. In the later part of 2006, as Matt was finishing college, Joe recognizing Matt’s keen interest in all things Wildlife, and set about writing a Business Plan for what today is Wildlife Control Specialists, LLC which was launched on February 7, 2007. Five years later, Joe joined Matt and has been working with him to build the company into what it is today.
Joe is a strong believer in getting involved with community related organizations. Over the years he has:
- Served for 4 years on the Board of the ARC of Somerset County
- Served for 10 years as a member of the Tewksbury Township Board of Education
- Spent 3 years as the Head of The Committee that Built Saint John Neumann’s Church in Califon, NJ
- Served for 9 years on the North Hunterdon – Voorhees High School Board of Education
- Served for 5 years on the Board of the Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jesey – 2 years as Chairman
- Served 3 years as the President of the New Jersey Falconers Association
- Served for 6 years as Northeast Director of the North American Falconers Association
- Has been serving for the last 8 years as a member of the Washington DC based Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership Policy Council
Joe grew up in Hudson County, NJ and he and his wife Suzanne have been residents of Hunterdon County for 55 years, and have lived in their home in Tewksbury Township for the past 50 years. In addition to Matt, he has a daughter Alison who lives in Richmond Vermont with her 2 children and husband who is a 6th Generation Farmer, who tends to their 1,200 acre farm and 1,000 Holstein Dairy Cows.
James brings a rare combination of discipline, physical toughness, and environmental expertise to every wildlife control job. A former collegiate football player at Stevenson University, James developed the work ethic and problem-solving mindset that now drive his approach to even the most challenging wildlife removal and exclusion projects. He holds a degree in Environmental Science, giving him a science-based understanding of animal behavior, habitat, and humane, ecologically responsible removal methods.
James specializes in identifying, removing, and preventing wildlife intrusions –from racoons and squirrels to more complex nuisance animal issues – using techniques that prioritize safety for homeowner, pets, and the animals themselves.
Clients trust James for his straightforward communications, reliability, and genuine care for doing the job right in the first place.
Matt is dedicated to a life of service, stewardship, and conservation. He works on his family’s farm while proudly serving his community as a volunteer firefighter. Matt is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and is a licensed falconer, working closely with birds of prey.
Whether caring for the land or serving his community, Matt is guided by a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility, and a deep respect for the natural world.
Brianna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine, with a concentration in Wildlife Science and Management. She has a lifelong passion for both flora and fauna and has spent years volunteering and working in wildlife rehabilitation, as well as contributing to scientific research studies.
Outside of work, Brianna enjoys spending time in nature alongside her two cats Ranger, and Forest.
Rob grew up in Reading, New Jesey, and proudly served nine years in the United States Army as a sniper. He is a dedicated falconer with a passion for working with birds of prey and wildlife.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his two daughters and can usually be found on the water fishing or exploring the woods.
